Slipping through the child support cracks

After 20 years of non-payment the court ordered 14% interest, compounded 2x a year. Yes, he paid for 2 years. Two hundred dollars per week. I have to admit, he's not stupid and has great attorneys. They quickly put his business and home in his wife's name. What could I do? Not much. Give the info to CESA. I cannot afford an attorney bill, checked it out. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR retainer to start. OH and I failed to mention that his wife's name is exactly my name and she actually played me in Florida at one hearing? Oh, that was hilarious when I got a warrant in my mail for "NON PAYMENT"? LOL How many years did that take the courts to straighten out? Yep, there is alot more to my story than was written. My intent was for all custodial parents not to give up! I married a man 20 years ago. He paid his support, a very large amount and neither he nor I complained.

Money: Shoppers' Finances Come Under Increasing Strain

Consumers' finances are coming under increasing strain with millions of bills going unpaid and four out of 10 people admitting they are now reliant on credit.

A quarter of credit cardholders say they have started 2008 more dependent on credit than they were last year, a survey for the Post Office said.

And 41% said they would be relying on their plastic to meet day-to-day living costs such as groceries.

At the same time, research from financial website MoneyExpert.com found that an estimated 6.9m household bills were either paid late or went unpaid over the past six months.

As obesity surgery takes off, waiting lists grow in Canada

We are great at blaming everyone and everything else for us being fat though, I can give us that much credit. The healthy foods are still on the shelves, they haven't gone missing.

I am speaking from some experience. I used to weigh 285lbs after I graduated from University and had always been “husky" even though I was very active.

Problem was I didn't know how to eat properly and all the exercise in the world wouldn't make a difference when I was eating over 3000 calories a day.

Funny thing though, I joined weight watchers and after giving it a honest 6 months I noticed I was already down 40lbs. Its funny how a pound or so a week adds up. (The weight didn't get put on overnight, its a joke people think it should just melt off.)

I still ate all the time, more than ever in fact, I just ate healthy with lots of vegetables.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

CONSUMER ADVICE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Since the mid-1990s, there has been a noticeable improvement in Greece's public transportation systems, including the ferry networks serving the islands. Bus and trolley routes are now served by new fleets, while a new mass transit system in Athens - the metro - has helped relieve congestion in the capital's centre.

The 2004 Olympics provided the impetus for improvements in public transport, which include the reintroduction of the tram as a link between the southern coastal suburbs and downtown Athens.

Tram

The tram has three lines: from Neos Kosmos (metro station) to Hellenic Olympic Complex (Agios Kosmas) and from Glyfada to the Peace and Friendship Stadium (alongside the Faliro Sports Complex). The third line runs from Syntagma to Glyfada.

MacBook Air’s collapsible port patent revealed, more

On February 28, 2008, the US Patent & Trademark Office published Apple's patent application detailing the MacBook Air's collapsible port feature. The patent presents evidence that the collapsible port was originally earmarked for the rear of the notebook and was to present additional options. Yet what was interesting to discover is that this new collapsible port isn't limited to the MacBook Air. According to Apple's own technical notes, “the present invention may apply to other types of devices, and still remain within the spirit and scope of the present invention."

MacBook Air's Flip-Down Port Hatch

Apple highlights the MacBook Air's innovative features on their websites by stating that “the innovative now-you-see-it, now-you-don't port hatch flips down to reveal (and closes to hide) all the ports you really need: a USB 2.0 port, a headphone jack, and a micro-DVI port that supports DVI, VGA, composite, and S-video output.
